Esther's story isn't unusual and, sadly, doesn't surprise at all... Esther's owner actually passed away earlier this month. Since the passing, Esther split her time wandering between her owner's and the neighbors. (Sometimes even forced to sleep outside - which with the weather over the past few weeks is horrifying!) The neighbors would let her in, keep her safe and allow her to relax with them but eventually she'd go back home. Getting to the pinnacle of the story... the family members responsible for the estate had decided today was the day to take Esther to the vet and help her cross the bridge. Thank the pug angels and heavens, Esther was at the neighbors and, when they came to collect her for her appointment, the neighbors intervened! Divine intervention for sure. Instead of handing over Esther, the neighbors sought help and called Church of Pug. Within 2 hours, Esther was moved into a wonderful foster home.

Esther is about 12 years old and will see the vet as soon as we can get her in. She's been well cared for and clearly absolutely adored, evident by the fact that this girl has probably had a few too many treats and is definitely a few pounds over weight. She's so sweet though and loves to cuddle. Bottom line, she is magnificent! She also desperately needs a dental so that is happening for sure! (The breath could clear a room!)
