Microchips, due to the cost difference, are ideally placed by the rescue and not at the vet. To put it into perspective, microchips, when placed by CoP volunteers, cost the rescue between $4-5. When placed at the veterinary office, microchips commonly cost between $60-75. So, it's a huge savings that can really add up!
If your rescue pup needs a microchip, please contact the microchip volunteer closest to you to have a microchip placed! Don't forget to upload the microchip numbers into Buzz!
