Hi, my name is Susie.
I came from really difficult circumstances with a large group of other dogs who clearly didn’t have much love, care, or socialization with people. The world is still a little scary to me sometimes, but I’m trying very hard and making progress every single day.
I came into rescue missing one of my eyes. We don’t know exactly what happened to me before rescue, but it doesn’t slow me down or stop me from enjoying life. I adapt just fine and keep right on going.
What I want most is a safe, patient, loving home where I can continue learning to trust and finally understand what it feels like to truly belong to someone. I do well with other dogs, am housebroken and crate trained. I sleep through the night quietly too! I'm also learning to use the doggie door.
Beneath my shy exterior is a sweet little girl who really wants to love and be loved.
