Meet Remington — our 10-years-young little gentleman.
This sweet boy came into the shelter without a name, so we chose one that perfectly matches his gentle spirit and old-soul charm: Remington.
From the very first moment we met him, Remington has been nothing but soft, sweet, and grateful. He’s the kind of dog who melts into your hands, closes his eyes, and leans in as if he’s waited his whole life for someone to love him back.
Because of his age and a recent dental where he lost most of his teeth, Remington will need to stay on soft food — but he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit. He toddles around, soaks up affection, and is happiest curled up beside his person. He’s a classic lapdog who thrives on quiet companionship and gentle routines.
We’re hoping to find a home where someone is around often, or maybe another calm senior dog who wouldn’t mind sharing a cozy bed or a sunny patch of floor. Remington is pure sweetness, kindness, and love wrapped in a tiny senior body.
If you’ve been thinking about opening your home to a senior who will adore you with his whole heart, Remington is ready. He may be 10, but he has so much love left to give — and he deserves to spend his golden years in a soft bed, not a shelter kennel.
Fake mama here - Remi just joined our household 2 days ago and is settling in. He is so small! He is having 3 small meals a day to try to put some weight back on as he's very thin. He loves his food and extra soft snackies. He does need a soft diet and some help with eating because he's kinda messy. He doesn't appreciate the warm washcloth after meals though but fake mama says nobody wants and icky puggy face!
He is really just the sweetest boy and is the best car rider. Snuggles down in his bed and snoozes. He does need help up a step or two. He seems to have some arthritis so stairs are not his forte. He can sort of manage getting down one with some help but it's easier to just lift him to avoid any stress.
He can manage a very short walk but gets tired quickly. Stroller it is!
