Once abandoned and left behind at just 6 months old, Pixie’s story almost ended before it began. When she arrived at the shelter, x-rays revealed her stomach had a couple of rocks — like actual rocks. No one knows why, but clearly this little survivor was trying to make the best of a really rough situation.
Thankfully, Church of Pug said YES, and Pixie hasn’t looked back since.
She’s now thriving in foster care — sleeping peacefully through the night in her crate, getting the hang of potty training (almost there!), and spreading quiet sweetness wherever she goes. She has a little puppy energy, but she’s no wild child — more of a gentle goofball with an occasional zoomie.
Pixie gets along great with other dogs and is currently being checked for a possible hearing impairment — though if she’s ignoring you, she may just be practicing selective listening like every clever dog before her.
Her past may have been rocky (literally), but her future is all soft beds, belly rubs, and people who know she deserves the world.
