At just 6 months old, Peggy should have been busy doing what puppies do best—making friends, causing mischief, and collecting admirers everywhere she went. Instead, she sat in a shelter kennel overlooked because of a very treatable skin condition. Day after day, people passed by without realizing the sweet, loving little soul waiting behind those puppy eyes.
The shelter life took some of Peggy's sparkle with it. The playful puppy who should have been discovering the world instead spent her days being overlooked. But now that she's safe, that joyful spirit is beginning to shine again.
Peggy is a delightful ball of energy, love, and puppy charm. She adores being part of the pack and is happiest when she's surrounded by people and other dogs. She's wonderfully social, quick to make friends, and has shown herself to be very respectful of the other dogs in her foster home. If another dog corrects her, Peggy is quick to listen and happily falls in line.
This sweet girl loves her snuggles just as much as her playtime. She can settle nicely in her playpen, where she's already learning good potty habits and showing impressive self-soothing skills for such a young puppy. Outside of her "room," she's still learning the rules of puppy life—including which things belong in her mouth and which things definitely do not.
Peggy is also a sensitive little soul. A gentle "no" is often all she needs, and she truly wants to please the people she loves.
Now all Peggy needs is a family who will see what the shelter couldn't. Beneath that temporary skin condition was never a dog to overlook—just an adorable, loving, silly puppy waiting for someone to believe she was worth seeing.
And trust us... she absolutely is.
