Meet Merlin!Merlin is a 2 year old frenchie that was brought to the ER after being found by a Good Samaritan as a stray and noted to have severe trauma to both front legs and ears from a dog attack! A DOG ATTACK!!! Merlin had a fever on arrival to the ER and wounds on the right front leg had possible bone exposure. The wounds were cleaned, bandaged and are healing well with treatment. After being discharged from the ER he was taken to a shelter who called Church of Pug to see if we could be his refuge. Obviously we replied with “We’re on our way”!At pickup, Merlin was observed to be super friendly ~ and also scared to death. It was clear we needed to get him seen by the vet right away. We assumed he would probably need to be seen by specialists and might even require a limb amputation. <Update: his wounds are healing nicely!>We’re not sure what his future holds but we know it’s filled with love and support from the Church of Pug (or maybe Church of Frug) community! - Adopt
