I'm ready for my new family!

Bonjour, I'm Matilda the French Bulldog. Some of my favorite things in life are gazing wistfully out the window, snoozing on the couch, and getting scratched behind my ears. I don't want just anyone to pet me, though - I am quite a shy lady and I need someone who will be patient with me while I warm up to you. But once you earn my trust, I won't want to leave your side. I am known to give people a little tap on the arm as my way of saying, "keep petting me."

I am pretty smart. I know how to sit, stay, play fetch, and come over when called. I do have stubborn moments too, though. I get nervous about going outside on my leash (my fosters are working with me on this) so I need someone to give me lots of encouragement and help me build confidence.

The perfect home for me will be a calm, quiet environment with no other animals and no young kids. If you choose to adopt me, you will be rewarded with lots of cuddles and cute snorting sounds. Are you my special someone?
