Hi friends! My name is Mandy, though my foster family calls me Chicken Nugget, or just Nugget. I’m not sure why. I don’t really look like a nugget of chicken, nor do I smell like one. My foster dad thinks I look more like a Biscuit, but I digress. I am looking for my fur-ever home with a loving family, preferably with just me as their source of furry companionship. As of this moment, I’m not currently super fond of sharing my affection, or the human’s for that matter, with another animal. Though that could change after I get my alteration, right now, moving into a home with people all to myself would be my ideal place to live. I get along with kids as long as they understand I am a living, breathing animal that has feelings and emotions. Thank you for looking at my profile and considering adding me to your family! I have so much love to give and would be so grateful for the opportunity to shower you with my love and kisses!! Xoxo Nugget, AKA Mandy

Meet Mandy, this sweet quiet girl is house trained, kennel trained, and very sweet. She is shy at first but once she feels safe, she opens up and is the perfect lap dog. She is a young dog at heart, so daily walks and/or time spent training and toy tossing are great ways to get rid of some energy. Mandy does have long hair so will need regular grooming. She doesn't mind getting brushed, until you get to her tail. Daily short brushings, accompanied by treats, would be best for her to keep her aclimated to the experience, and to keep her long hair from gaining any mats. She did well during her first bath times, so I would guess she has had experience being bathed in her past life. She doesn't try to bite the nail clippers either, plus her nails are clear so nail trimming is generally non-stressful. Mandy is a quick learner and loves treat training! So far she has learned, sit, lay down, up, off and no. Stay is proving to be a bit challenging, but with patience and consistency, I'm confident she'll learn it. Afterall, this girl just really wants to please her person, shower you with love and kisses, and in return, be showered with the same.
