Captain Kringle came to us out of time at a high-kill shelter, alone, scared, and with a mystery surrounding his eyes. He had lost one, and the other had endured painful swelling and infection. Blind in a noisy, unfamiliar world, his situation could have been hopeless—but then the Church of Pug stepped up, and his story began to change.
Despite everything he’s been through, Captain Kringle is pure resilience. He doesn’t let his vision impairment slow him down. He loves with all his heart, curls up for snuggles without hesitation, and thrives on attention and affection.
His story reminds us that caring for a vision-impaired dog isn’t scary—it’s simple when you follow their lead and meet them with patience, love, and kindness. Captain Kringle doesn’t need perfection, he just needs someone who sees him for the amazing soul he is and chooses to spoil him every day.
For Captain Kringle, love isn’t about sight—it’s about feeling safe, cherished, and celebrated. And once you see him, you’ll understand why he’s worth every ounce of it.
