I've found my furever family!

Harper is one of the most loving souls I have ever met. She loves humans as well as other dogs. She is so pleased to meet anyone new, and is very gentle and kind during introductions. Although not fully field tested, she seems to be open to having cat and bird friends as well, as is indicated by her gentle curiosity on walks.

 

We don't know much about her background before she was surrendered to a shelter, but she has clearly been bred multiple times as is indicated by her physiology, and it doesn't appear that she was taken on many, if any, walks in her former life. She loves to walk slowly beside her human and looks for constant guidance on speed and trajectory. She is incredibly patient and open minded, and loves smelling allllll the smells of the world, of course.

 

She has zoomie scamper bursts of energy, but she is also very pleased to hoist herself into the nearest lap and just perch and observe. She has no concept of personal space, but she truly just wants to be next to someone and then she feels safe and comfortable. She is easy to pick up. She is a big time smoocher. She is excellent about trying to wait to potty outside or using the indoor pet mats in an emergency.

 

There is an optimism and openness to her that makes her so very easy to love and be around. She's clearly seen hardships in her short life and yet she approaches everything with kindness and hope. 

 

She deserves a home with someone who wants to be with her all day, and pet siblings that enjoy her as much as she would enjoy being around them. This breed inherently requires ongoing health surveillance with a family that is able to get her any medical care she may require in the future. That being said she is a very, strong, healthy, hearty girl.
