Hi! I'm Candy, and I'm ready to bond with my new family. I can be reserved for the first couple of days, but I won't hide, I will still follow you around because I'm smart and I want to explore the world by your side! I can be reserved at times, but I'm sweet and gentle, and will always look at your eyes to connect with you. I'm a fast learner, and my foster mom says that I would dance the Macarena for a piece of trout. I LOVE going for walks! And will wag my tail when getting me ready! I also have a special dance to ask you to take my coat off when we're back home, it makes everyone giggle. I'm great on a leash, and I am very quiet, I just like observing everything around me. I enjoy spending time with my large dog foster sibling, even when she is a little rambunctious. I can let her know when I'm done playing, and I can be pretty smooth at it. However, because I only weigh 16lb, I would be safer in a home where my dog siblings are not reactive at all. I also enjoy cuddling with my 6-year-old human foster sister, but I'm not sure how I'll feel about toddlers.
I like to have some privacy in my quiet space when I go to bed at night. But if you invite me to your bed, I won't say no, I just love snuggling with my humans.
I would love to find a mom or dad who works from home and needs a low-energy companion dog. A homeschooling family would be great too. Or a parent who's interested in taking me to work. Not to brag, but I would make the best emotional support dog, I just know it! Want to meet me? Mom, dad, I know you're out there looking for me, I'm waiting for you.
