Hi! I'm Mayvis Maxine, and my favorite things in the world are kids and puppies! My ideal home will have lots of kids and puppies. We'll all run free around the house, zooming and jumping from couch to couch. The kids will laugh, and I will chase them around to give them kisses!
I might need a mom, too. It will take me a week to let her pick me up without me getting scared, but if she doesn't try to pick me up. I will show her my cutest and goofiest and give her lots of kisses, too. Oh! And I can make the cutest cat sounds; I'm full of surprises! If I get to have a dad, well, he will have to be patient. It has taken me a couple of weeks to let my foster dad touch me. But if you ask me, I wouldn't want him to pick me up, at least not yet. But we're slowly getting used to each other, and I'm starting to like him! Anyhow, what was I saying? Oh yeah! I'm so funny! I have a repertoire of quickie, scary, dog, cat, bird, and 'you name it' sounds! I'm super smart, athletic, loving, cuddly, playful, healthy, alert, communicative, among other things! My foster mom says that I will make the most wonderful family pet. She also says that 'baby talk' works like magic with me. At least the first week, it was her trick to help me through the transition.
I'm pad-trained, but I'm close to becoming house-trained. My foster parents think that I'm a fast learner. I'm also good on a leash, and I love going for walks! When I growl at strangers while on a walk, my foster mom reminds me that I'm safe, and I calm down quickly.
I can play with any dog toy, regardless of size or shape. I calmly sleep in my crate through the night, and I like all kinds of dog food.
I love sharing my food and toys with other dogs. My foster sis is a rambunctious and giant Pyreneess mix, and I love her. But for my safety, I need to live with dogs closer to my size. Recent scores:

Note: Mayvis went through a lot before she came to the Church of Pug. She has made a world of progress towards trusting humans again. She is still a puppy full of joy and ready to bond with her new family.
