Meet Betsy!
Betsy is a sweet, people-loving girl with a gentle personality. She loves attention, enjoys being close to her humans and is great with cats. She is also doing well with other dogs in her foster home.
Betsy is working on some resource guarding around treats, toys and her favorite people, and her foster is helping her learn that there’s plenty of love and goodies to go around.
Sweet, sassy and full of personality, Betsy is ready to find a family to call her own!
From the foster parent:
Hey there, my name is Jullia, the owner of Cat Dog Stylist, and I am Betsy's foster parent. Betsy (we call her Maya) is such a sweetheart, she is gentle, sweet, and very curious. She is pee pad trained, which I just found out today (10/2/2026), and she is very sweet with my cats (she likes them more than they like her currently, but she's so happy to see them she likes booping them with her snoot). She likes my dog, and is always very polite, unless there are treats around. She definitely can be hangry! With repeated exposure to both of them having treats, she is getting better about "sharing."
All she wants to do is cuddle in your lap and be your baby girl. She's easy to handle, okay with being picked up, did great for her bath, and was wonderful for her brushing. She does need consistency around getting her nails done, but most pugs do! I know there has been a bit of questions about her potential breed, I think she may be a pug / shiba inu / chihuahua mix or something along those lines, that's what she looks like to me based on her body structure (and her shedding!).
I think that she would be a wonderful companion to anyone who wanted a sweet, gentle, attention seeking, fun loving little ball of fur who thinks you are their whole world. She loves to play fetch, but she would sooner too just snuggle with you on the couch and watch a movie. I'm not sure how she would do around small animals like rodents or reptiles, but with my pug and cats, she's a happy camper.
She is ready for a home to love on her, and is more than happy to be a new addition to your family. She is a well adjusted young pup who would be a great addition to any family.
