Gru found himself discarded, uncomfortable, and running out of time, with very few options left for his future. Despite the pain and hardship he has clearly endured, Gru has continued to show nothing but sweetness toward the people caring for him, greeting the world with gentle eyes and a kind spirit that refuses to break.
Even through his discomfort, Gru has remained social and loving with humans and appears to do well around other dogs. Now safe with rescue, he finally has the opportunity to leave survival behind and begin living the life he always deserved — one filled with comfort, medical care, soft places to rest, and people who will love him through every step of his healing journey.
After everything he has been through, Gru is ready to stop merely surviving and finally start living his best life.
