Hi, I’m Valentino!
I’m a super sweet, friendly Frenchie who was rescued by Church Of Pug just in the nick of time. I came into the shelter very sick with kidney failure, but after a week in the hospital and a whole lot of care, I’m bouncing back and feeling so much better. The doctors aren’t totally sure what caused it (dehydration, poisoning, mystery illness), but they do know I’m a fighter.
Right now I’m on a daily supplement and special prescription food. Will it be forever? Maybe. Will I continue to improve and surprise everyone? Also maybe. Either way, I’m doing great and heading to the vet regularly for bloodwork to make sure my kidneys stay on track.
I’m currently living the foster life and absolutely nailing it. I’m friends with the resident pug, my foster says I’m awesome (their words, not mine), and I’m sweet, friendly, and just happy to be safe and loved.
I’m hoping to find my forever home soon. I’m incredibly thankful to be alive and grateful to everyone who helped save me. Now accepting applications for snuggles, snacks, and lifelong devotion.
