Hello! I’m Alice!
I came to Church of Pug after an amazing teenager found me in a bucket with a lid duct-taped on top. The bucket was filling with rain water and filled with feces and food remnants.
I was in terrible shape so Church of Pug rushed me directly to the vet. When I arrived for urgent care, I was running a slight fever. I was extremely emaciated.
At first everyone thought I was just starved. After lots of ups and downs and additional testing, it turns out I’m actually suffering from Stage 4 kidney failure.
My foster parents are amazing and very in-tune with my needs. I do require IV fluids, which have to be administered by the veterinarians, about once a week. I also require daily injections, which are basically the doggy version of dialysis.
While I’m a very sick girl, I’m young at only 4ish and have so much life to live! My monthly care is approximately $1000.
